The 3M Clear Safety series is an entry level safety and security film. While the Ultra S600 and S800 series are designed to be literally bombproof. Not everyone needs that level of performance, which is where the 3M Clear Safety series comes into play.
Each of the different films in the range, 3M S40, S70, S80, and S140 can all be used to upgrade thin or old glass to meet Australian Standard 1288 Human Impacts. This will protect your loved ones from accidental glass breakage. It can also be used to strengthen shower doors, balconies and glass pool fencing. Uncle Kevin will thank you for it too, you know how he gets after Christmas dinner by the pool.
It also blocks 99% of UV so is an excellent addition to glass you don’t want to tint but want added security.
